Considering Dental Implants? Here’s What You Should Know

Are you missing teeth or dealing with an ill-fitting denture? Dental implants are a whole-tooth replacement that provide stability for your teeth that last a lifetime. At Dazzling Smiles in Craigieburn we offer full- service dental implant care.

The procedure

Adequate overall health is important for proper recovery following implantation. If it is determined that you are a good candidate for dental implants you can expect the procedure to last from six months to a year. It is an investment in time that provides you with a stable jaw and a long-lasting smile. During this time and until you will get your final crowns, we will give you a temporary solution, so you will not leave the clinic with missing teeth.

Dental implants are placed surgically beneath the gum line. Once here, the titanium posts grow together and fuse with your jaw bone to provide superior stability for your new teeth. The process takes from four to eight months to complete, depending on the location of the dental implants and the health of your jaw bone.

After the dental implants have Integrated, you return to our office for restoration, or when your new teeth are affixed on top.
